Hollywood in Chicago
Last night, many of the stars of the movie Ocean’s 13 arrived in Chicago to a red carpet welcome leading into the Chicago premiere of the film. A ticket the premiere, along with an after-movie celebration at Room 21, cost $1500. The money raised from the event went to the International Rescue Committee to aid people in the Darfur region of Sudan. The group announced that they would be giving a $2.75 million donation to the organization.
Hundreds of people who could not afford the ticket, stood out in the 90 degree weather for several hours waiting for the arrival of the celebrities. They were not disappointed, as stars like Matt Damon and George Clooney took time for autographs and to pose for photos with the fans.
